We are continuing to follow the grave events in Khartoum, Sudan and have been in touch with the SVP team there.
As of 5 May, the SVP Sudan team is taking shelter whilst some may leave the country for safe shelter. Water is scarce and electricity supplies are at best intermittent.
We are monitoring the situation and if we can provide any emergency funding to support the aid effort in the country, we will do so in line with the regulations governing the provision of humanitarian aid in conflict zones.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Sudan and the SVP team in Khartoum at this difficult time.
