Through our Twinning links, we have supported local SVP groups in Sudan for decades. Sudan has suffered a devastating civil war that has left behind a trail of destruction of unimaginable proportions and human misery. Thousands of people who fled South Sudan into Sudan during the conflict now face daily discrimination and live in makeshift camps with no fresh water supply, little food and an uncertain future. 

Thanks to the SVP however, the Sudanese people have been able to maintain their dignity by receiving assistance ranging from food and water to medical assistance.
