Furniture donation or collection

The St Vincent's Centre depot is a charity donation and collection centre for unwanted furniture and household items, which are reused or resold.

Items donated to our St Vincent's depot are either redistributed to those in need by referal process, as part of St Vincent de Paul Society, England and Wales (SVP). Furniture sold by our charity also funds the continuation of this service. We take various items and we request that your donations are in good enough condition to repurpose, fire labels are intact if applicable and/or there is scope to refurbish the items. We are currently accepting the following items: 

  • Sofas / Armchairs / Suites
  • Beds
  • Wardrobes /Chests of drawers
  • Small electrical items such as lamps, kettles, microwaves 
  • White goods such as washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges, freezers, ovens
Book a free furniture collection

We offer a free collection service for residents in the Leeds area. Our furniture donations are either recycled and given free of charge back to the most vulnerable people and families or sold in our shop and depot for low cost to further directly fund our services.

To book your free collection, please contact us on 0113 245 0800, at hello@svp.org.uk or submit an online collection enquiry below. To be able to accept and pass on your items please ensure:

  • Your items are in in good condition, complete and work correctly and each individual upholstered item has a fire label attached and complies with the 1988 fire regulations with a legible batch number
  • All furniture items containing glass show the British safety glass kite mark
