Vinnie Van is a brand new and exciting initiative that is coming to Cumbria to help those in need. This is the first time SVP has operated from a mobile unit and we hope that this will be the first of a fleet of vehicles that can get out and about to reach the more remote areas across England and Wales.
Vinnie Van enables us to reach out to many people that would not normally be aware of SVP or have access to services. In accordance with our ethos to reach out and support people in need, the bus will be available to all, irrespective of faith, background or personal circumstances.
Vinnie Van Cumbria will primarily be an opportunity to bring resources to those in need in rural areas throughout West Lancaster. It will provide a regular opportunity to be befriended, receive support, access to a community pantry and some advice in the way of signposting and advocacy.
