We provide a food support service by running five weekly Good Food Clubs that help around 1,100 people each week.

Accompanied walking, exercise and craft classes to combat social-isolation and increase exercise regimes.

We provide friendship to lonely and isolated individuals via a regular phone call.

Shopping & medicine collection and delivery for people who cannot do this for themselves.

SVP provides lunch with entertainment and transport, as well as classes at our socials.

At Chorley Buddies, we provide vital support to those in need in our local community. From providing the space for people to connect, to helping people with their shopping and medicine collections.

We are a community group run by SVP staff, members and local volunteers. We aim to respond to identified need in our community, to relieve social isolation, food and financial poverty.


By shopping at our Good Food Clubs, in 2023 we managed to save a whopping 119,150 meals from ending up in a Landfill.

 

Our weekly Good Food Clubs provide local people with affordable, healthy food whilst saving the planet. For just £10 for a lifetime membership and £5 per weekly shop, members get 2 big bags of shopping worth at least £25.

Christmas can be a difficult time for many parents, with the financial pressures of buying presents. 

 

Our 2023 Toy Drive provided over 800 toys to children and teenagers under 17 who may not otherwise have received any presents.

We received an amazing amount of toy donations from people in our local community as well as money donations, which enabled us to buy a till full of toys from Tesco!
