St Vincent's Support Centre wins the Jo Cox Compassionate City Award

St Vincent's Support Centre in Leeds wins the first ever Jo Cox Compassionate City Award

Our St Vincent's Support Centre in Leeds has won the first ever Jo Cox Award for the life changing work of its volunteers and staff in helping the community in Leeds every day through its Community Learning and Development programme.

Held in Leeds Civic Hall, the first ever Compassionate City Awards celebrates people, groups and community organisations who make important contributions to local life in Leeds.

Following the event, the Jo Cox Loneliness Commission published its report and Sky News interviewed three of our Support Centre volunteers about their experience of loneliness and how St Vincent's has helped them.
