Youth Programmes of the SVP can build peace

When Cardinal Vincent Nichols spoke out against knife crime at a recent Rally in Trafalgar Square, he suggested that young people needed a healthy way to channel their energy. An article published by The Tablet speaks shows that SVP's Young Vincentian Programmes help children do exactly this - take practical action in their communities to do something about any need that they identify around them.

In the piece, Anita Boniface writes "Whatever the practical action, the effect is to encourage young people to engage thoughtfully and actively in their communities – family, school, church, town, city. This breeds a ready spontaneity to do good."
