About Us

A unique holiday for children from a variety of backgrounds, providing physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing in a Vincentian ethos.

The Wirral Camp week is a safe, supportive and fun environment that is designed to provide all attendees with a great holiday.

Fun, Safe & Supportive

We pride ourselves on creating a fun environment where children from a variety of backgrounds can enjoy a holiday.

This can only be achieved by the volunteers and children all working towards the same goal. We all want the camp to be about us working together to create an atmosphere where we can all enjoy our holiday, make new friends and try out new things.

We will all do our best to create an environment which is safe and where we don’t have to worry about making mistakes which we can learn from.

Take a look a some of the activities we do each year...

Talent Show

Children can take part in a talent show during the week, often showcasing talents in singing, comedy, dancing and magic. This year a particular highlight was a song performed in sign language by two children who had deaf parents.

Pizza Making

In groups children have the chance to make their own pizza, which is then cooked in a customised pizza oven ("The JoeBQ") at the centre. The activity promotes team work, friendship, and produces great tasting pizza... well, in most cases great tasting!

Water Walks

Exploring the countryside is a key part of the camp with activites including gorge walking, where together the teams walk through small pools and waterfalls in Snowdonia.

Arts & Crafts

Art and craft sessions promote creativity and imagination as throughout the week different projects are given out. For example. this year everyone made a badge with a value from the SVP, with many using art to symbolise their meaning.
