Wednesday 4th March signals other addition of the widely celebrated World Book Day. While local schools would ordinarily encourage their pupils to dress up in costume as their favourite and best loved characters, the majority of classroom doors remain closed due to national lockdown restrictions.

Reading at any age plays such a huge role in the education and enrichment of children and adults, so we just couldn’t dismiss World Book Day 2021. From Tuesday 3rd March – alongside our hot meal distribution – and throughout the following week, we'll be handing out a huge variety of books to those that want them. If you or your child would benefit from a novel, fairytale, picture book or a work of non fiction, feel free to head down.
