Another school holiday signals another week of support from us here at St Vincent's Centre, Leeds. We're getting ready for another edition of the Healthy Holidays campaign, supported by Leeds City Council and Leeds Community Foundation in which we aid in providing food and acitivities for children of school age within our community. The last programme, which took place over the Easter holidays, saw an incredible amount of food provision given out, with 252 children and families fed with healthy and balanced hot meals over the two weeks. As well as this, 82 children came to collect their very own, bespoke activity pack based on age and gender to ensure they were occupied and educated within the school break.

We're once again excited to deliver these services to those who may require it within our community.

From Wednesday 2nd June at 12pm, we'll be distributing delicious and healthy hot meals to the community. Always cooked fresh and with multiple options to suit tastes and dietary requirements, our hot meals are well thought out and nutriciously complete to ensure children of school age are getting what they need.

This time round, our activity packs include a fun 'Where's Wilbur' campaign in which we encourage recipients of a stuffed, cuddly penguin named Wilbur to show him around the sites of Leeds - making sure his new owners get out and about. We'll also be giving out sunflower growing kits to encourage those young green fingered individuals to learn and nurture. We'll be giving out food parcels on Friday 4th June from 12:30PM also, to ensure families have enough provisions to see them through the weekend.

Help us continue work like this...
