Mass for the Sick in Radcliffe

Mass for the sick in Radcliffe

On the 15 th September St Mary & St Philip Neri's Conference in Radcliffe held their Mass for the Sick and Housebound. The day itself was a beautiful sunny Autumn Day and everybody had such a happy time. One could feel the warmth of love throughout the Mass which was concelebrated by Parish Priest Fr James Manock and Fr David Egan, Hospital Chaplain for the Bury area.

Later on guests were escorted into St Mary's Club to enjoy the refreshments, arranged by the ladies from the Union of Catholic Mothers, and to be entertained by our Primary School Children's Choir.

The Greater Manchester Transport covered the coach hire expenses, for the ferrying of the disabled from their various locations down to Church, to the value of £110. This facility might be available in other areas, and other conferences that provide a service for the sick and housebound could make use of Local Authority Transport funding.
