Grab your running shoes!
The SVP invites you to participate in a 5km run in Regents Park, London on 11th May 2008 to raise awareness and funds for the Society.
Am I fit enough?
The average speed of a man walking is 5km/h, so to run 5km you will need to move a bit faster for roughly 30 minutes.
Could I do that?
If you are still not persuaded, it is probably worth mentioning that Regents Park is among the most beautiful and flattest parks in Britain, so it makes running even easier!
Still hesitating?
It is more of a run rather than race: the event’s spirit is ‘taking part’ not ‘winning’ so if you feel like it you can jog or walk instead of running. Hopefully this is enough to persuade you to take part!
The Society has reserved 25 places on this run. To register for the event please contact National Office on 020 7407 4644 or email info@svp.org.uk.
Runners are asked to find a minimum of £100 sponsorship. National Office can provide advice on fundraising.
Runners, their friends and family will be invited to an SVP picnic at the end of the run. So make a day of it and sign up for the 5K challenge and support the SVP!
