Grab your running shoes: Santa Run 2011
The Do it for Charity Santa runs
hit the parks again this year. SVP
members, friends, family and
supporters united to raise funds
for the SVP and start Christmas off with a Santa dressed cheer!
In London, 29 SVP members and friends pulled on their white beards and ran, jogged (or walked!) the challenging 5k or 10k course in Greenwich park. Everyone who took part received a Santa costume and an SVP goody bag (thanks to the generosity of 4imprint).
Lizzy, one runner said, “I never expected running
5kms to be fun, but it definitely was. If anyone thinks Santa’s
not real, they should come along next year. I saw at least 1000!”
Runners were asked to find a minimum of £100 sponsorship. Evelyn O'Sullivan, an active supporter and member of the SVP raised £1628 for the Santa Run exceeding her targeted amount of £1000!
