Support for the SVP Sudan Appeal
Congratulations to St Christopher's Conference in Codsall, whose "Can Do" attitude has raised funds and awareness for the SVP's Sudan Appeal.
The Conference, organized by member Mary Jeff-Watts, held a coffee morning and tombola earlier this year. By involving as many people as possible, Mary hoped to bring the plight of the Sudanese people to a wider audience. Notices were printed and distributed to the church members, other local churches and through the village centre and attracted a lot of supporters. As well as attending the event, individuals donated cakes, prizes for the tombola and helped run the morning.
The combined enthusiasm and efforts of the SVP Conference members and local parishioners made the event not only enjoyable but also highly successful: over £250 was raised for the appeal!
