St Jude's wins BEST Placement Provider of the Year Award
St. Jude's Furniture Store, Leeds, has been awarded Placement Provider of the Year 2007 by the BEST organisation (Business Employment Services Training Ltd).
The award took place at a celebration dinner at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. St. Jude's was in competition with over 150 other organisations in the Leeds area.
BEST is one of the country's leading and most progressive providers of government sponsored training programmes for the workplace and has been working in partnership with St. Jude's for more than a dozen years. Hundreds of clients, who are out of work for a variety of reasons, have crossed St Jude's threshold, where, together with BEST, the aim is to give them the confidence to be able to prepare for work and apply for jobs. Many clients subsequently go on to placements elsewhere in a wide range of both business and charity organisations that can offer employment to suitable candidates.
This award follows the Investor in People award St Jude's received in June 2006 and is a credit to both St Jude's and the SVP. Congratulations to all those involved in the project!
