SVP Conference assist with transport arrangements for Liverpool PilgrimageSt. Teresa's/Mary Magdalen's Conference Penwortham, were instrumental in helping to organise transport and help for the annual Archdiocese of Liverpool pilgrimage to the 900 year old shrine at Ladyewell at Fernyhalgh north of Preston on 10th May 2008. Walking in the footsteps of the pilgrims...9 intrepid volunteers completed the first annual sposored pilgrims' walk to raise over £5000 for the Ozanam Centre, North Wales at the beginning of April. 2008 Lourdes Pilgrimage - bookings now being taken!Dates for the annual SVP pilgrimage to Lourdes have been confirmed as Friday 10th October to Friday 17th October and bookings are now being taken. This is a special year, marking the 150th anniversary of the Apparitions and as with previous year's SVP conferences and councils will be assisting the sick and their carers to Lourdes.
