It is with deepest regret that we announce the following death:
Bro Tom Davies
Tom Davies, a lifelong parishioner of St Joseph's Seacombe, died aged 84 years on 24 December 2006.
Tommy, as he was affectionately known, cleaned the church for many years and participated in numerous parish activities. He visited Lourdes regularly as a Bran Cardier and was a dedicated member of his local SVP. Tommy was also a member of the Burma Star Association. During Father Jack Lynch's period as parish priest, Tommy was an outstanding Sacristan, and his encounters with Father's friends the travellers at the presbytery door were legendary.
Tommy Davies was awarded the Bene Merent in 1997 for his great service.
