Lancaster Central Council
Lancaster Central Council covers the area of the RC Diocese of Lancaster, consisting of most of Lancashire and Cumbria. There are 52 Conferences in the area, divided between 7 District Councils (see below), with a total of 322 members.

McKenzie Friends Training Course |
Training day at St Edmund's Parish Hall, St Edmund's Park, This course, run in partnership with the VMP and the Zacchaeus 2000 Trust, is designed to enable people of any faith or none, already working among deprived families and individuals to support them as a McKenzie Friend when they are facing local authorities, bailiffs or court appearances for debt. There is a legal right to a friend in court won by a man called McKenzie. It will also be of interest to people who are concerned about poverty in the United Kingdom and might not wish to become a volunteer McKenzie Friend. For more information, download the flyer here. |
