Community Projects/Special Works
The Society runs projects known as "Special Works" to address the needs of disadvantaged people in the wider community. Services we offer include:

Furniture Stores for the repair and redistribution of donated household goods |

Support Centres providing a range of services from free debt and general counselling to training in basic literacy, numeracy and information technology |
Community Shops located in areas of deprivation |

Holidays, including Children's Camps, Caravan Holidays and the Ozanam Centre North Wales |

Residential Care projects, which include two approved premises in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, two hostels for homeless people in Leeds and Newcastle, and one residential project for mental health in Tyne & Wear. |

Projects for disabled people, such as a "Talking Newspaper," social clubs, deaf centres and signed masses. |

The SVP also runs a Passion Play which is performed across England & Wales every year.

Members of Clydach SVP in South Wales perform a dramatic account of the last 12 hours of Jesus's life twice a week during Lent in churches all over the country and proceeds are used to fund Menevia Special works.
