Furniture stores are just one way in which the SVP provides practical help to those in need.
The SVP runs 16 furniture projects across England and Wales, providing free furniture to disadvantaged individuals and families. During 2005-6, over 15,000 collections and deliveries were made to 10,800 individuals and families who would otherwise have gone without. The projects were supported by 17 full-time and 12 part time staff, as well as 215 volunteers, dedicating an average of 769 hours each week.
The furniture stores are always keen to receive donations of goods, funds and volunteer support. To find your nearest furniture store, see below:

Distribution of vouchers to be used at the Emmaus furniture store in Brighton (no collections or deliveries of furniture). Beneficiaries are visited in their homes then issued with vouchers to exchange for furniture.
