SVP 1833s running for the Society
Vincentians old and new braved the rain as they gathered for the Do it for Charity 5K run in Heaton Park in Manchester. Six members from Bangor SVP 1833 were keen to take part. They were welcomed by the Manchester University Conference who provided accommodation for the night and took them out for a curry to build up their strength for the following day. Adrian, my husband, and I joined them (Adrian ran and I mainly walked!) and we were accompanied by several other SVP members including former national president, Austin Fagan, who was delighted to meet these latter-day Frederics, who are bringing new blood into the Society. The sun finally came out to shine on the righteous as we all gathered together afterwards for a shared picnic.
