Some members of the group are Eucharistic Ministers and take Communion to patients in the hospital.
Every year the Conference raises money for SVP projects in Sudan through various events, such as an “indulgence” evening, cake sales, and a ceilidh. The money raised helps to pay for the Sudan baby feeding project, medical treatments and sponsoring education and training. In February 2008 Ian Mawdsley (SVP Twinnage Co-ordinator for SVP in Sudan ) and his wife, Ruth, gave us a talk about their visit to the projects in Sudan which are supported by our donations.
Members have spoken at SVP National meetings and attended International SVP Youth meetings
