Where we are….
We meet at the Catholic chaplaincy, Newman House, 29 Harrisons Road, Edgbaston, B15 3QS.
What we do…
We help at Fireside - a day-centre for the homeless. We have also been involved in a soup-run, the Restore asylum-seeker project and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
We have organised several fund-raising events, including bag-packing at Sainsbury’s for the SVP Sudan appeal – contributing to the baby-feeding programme and medical supplies. Last year we also collected money at a local Kaiser Chiefs gig for the St Vincent’s Support Centre in Leeds.
We have enjoyed hosting two SVP 1833 national meetings at the Multi-Faith chaplaincy where SVP 1833 members from around the country have gathered for reflection, workshops and socialising.
